Local-first by design.
BigdataSight opens data you choose and keeps local analysis on your Mac. Network access is used only for a remote source or product service you deliberately invoke.
Local files and queries
Local datasets, table contents, SQL text, filters, and exports are not uploaded to BigdataSight services as part of opening, querying, or exporting a local source.
Remote sources
When you open a remote source, BigdataSight connects to the provider you configured for that requested operation. Credentials are kept out of query text, workspace history, and product diagnostics.
Purchases and activation
Mac App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Direct checkout is handled by Paddle, while BigdataSight's license service delivers and validates the Direct license. These product services do not receive the contents of your datasets or queries.
Diagnostics and support
The initial release does not include third-party product analytics or crash analytics SDKs. Diagnostic reports are created for you to review before sharing. Do not send access keys, tokens, signed URLs, customer data, or confidential source files to support.
Report a security concern
Send a concise description to support@bigdatasight.com. Do not include an active credential or private dataset. For data-handling details, read the Privacy Policy.
