A precise list of the sources BigdataSight can open in the first release, including where preview, SQL, and export boundaries differ.

Viewer supports local Parquet and CSV with up to two tabs. Every remote source and every other supported local format requires Pro. See the pricing comparison.

Deliberate first-release exclusions

Avro has not completed product-level acceptance and is unavailable in both tiers.
ORC does not have a product open path and is unavailable in both tiers.
Remote single-file JSON, Avro, Arrow IPC, and Feather are not supported in 1.0.
Hive Metastore and provider-specific Glue Data Catalog attachment are not supported.
Deep governance semantics for Unity Catalog, Nessie, and Polaris are outside the 1.0 scope.
